Today I spent a lot of money at REI. One of the things I bought was a better pair of boots. I normally wear a 13, but they had none. So I tried on a 14. In many ways, I think 14 is a good size for me. I seem to have a bit too much heel wiggle though. Maybe a 13.5 is what I need, but Vasque doesn't make that size.
I went on a 2.5km walk this evening in my new boots. It didn't turn go poorly for me. Tomorrow I'll try hiking up Blue Mesa trail in them.
